Knox County Schools/PTA Presents the… Teacher Supply Depot |
Utilizing the layout of the old school building, classrooms are used to group similar items: Arts & Crafts, Classroom Supplies & More, Basic Educational Supplies, and Paper Products. The hallway is used to house large items or items that are donated in large quantities. The gymnasium serves as the registration area where teachers and/or their assistants take a number to gather items in the organized areas. The gym also serves as an unlimited shopping area. Any items placed in the gym can be taken on a first come, first serve basis. This unlimited shopping experience also gives teachers something to do while they wait for their number to be called. The Teacher Supply Depot is open to teachers four times a year and open year round for donations. We are in continual need of supplies to stock our shelves for each opening. If you have items, money, or time to donate, please contact us via phone or email. The depot is open year around for donations (Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.). We do close for school observed holidays and vacation time so we do recommend calling prior to delivery to verify that someone is in the building. All closed door dates are posted on our website. |

◄ Teachers line up early for free supplies! |
Established as a joint venture between the Knox County Council PTA and Knox County schools, the Teacher Supply Depot is a collection center and warehouse of new and pre-used materials donated by businesses and individuals that are distributed to our Knox County public school teachers and teachers’ assistants free of charge at least four times per school year. Businesses often discard materials they no longer need or have in short supply in inventory. In many cases, these items can be used by teachers to enhance classroom instruction. |
Our goal is to provide Knox County teachers and their assistants with free new and pre-used materials to enhance instruction in their classroom and to promote student achievement. |
